FA Cup: 17 brilliant pictures as Brighton fans pack Wembley Way and the Box Park

Brighton and Hove Albion fans were making the most of their Wembley Stadium experience ahead of their FA Cup semi-final with Manchester United

Brighton have been in fine form on the pitch this season and the game against Manchester United is a chance for them to reach their first FA Cup final since 1983.

Roberto De Zerbi’s Seagulls are seventh in the Premier League and track for European qualification but a final against Manchester City next month would really top off an excellent campaign for the Albion.

Manchester United will however to be tough opponents. Erik ten Hag’s team are third in the Premier League but their weaknesses were exposed in midweek as they lost 3-0 in the Europa League to Sevilla.

Brighton boss De Zerbi said: “We would like to try to change the history,” said the Albion boss, who watched from the stands at the national stadium last summer when his native Italy lost 3-0 to Argentina in the Finalissima.

“I think the fans have to be proud for this squad, these players because they are different than other players, other teams. They feel the importance for the people, for our fans and they are playing for us.

“I can give them my passion, my vision of work, not more because I’m not a player. But for sure we would like to make our fans happy.

“I’m looking forward to playing this game. For sure, (it’s) one of the most important.”
