Football: Girls shine as City ladies take a back seat

Chichester City Ladies aim to continue their fine start to the season when they visit St Nicholas this Sunday after a week off.

City’s development squad lost 5-1 away to Bexhill United. The Chi scorer wa Carmen Kager.

Their next game is away to Ashford.

Chi’s under16s won 9-0 at home to Newhaven Girls. They played sweeping football from back to front, showing some superb passing, great defending and attacking with some superb team goals.

Goals came from Loulou Robson with five, two from Paige Bircham and one each for Alex Collighan and Libby Heath.

City girls’ under-12s won 11-0 away to Crawley Wasps. It was a fantastic team performance with some awesome defending, passing and movement.

Scorers were Charlie Davey and Eve Clarke with four each, Ellen Middleton (2) and Molly Stoddart.

Chi’s under-14s lost 6-1 away to Hollingbury Hawks. Elishia Hounsome scored their goal.
