A CRANLEIGH Golf Academy competition for juniors was held at Rustington Golf Centre when there was a good attendance from potential stars of the future.

Cranfield Golf Academy is the largest group of academies in the UK and Europe. Their belief is that "there is a better golfer inside everyone".

The academy was founded by Scott Cranfield, known for his appearances on Sky Sports TV and Setanta Golf and for coaching some of Europe's most famous players. Like most young professionals, his original ambition when he started his career in 1985 was to become the world's number one player

Youngsters taking part in the competition also enjoyed a workshop with him, and the winner of the event was James Ashman (14), from Middleton, who attends Bishop Luffa School.
