That’s after their stunning 6-0 victory over Bridgnorth in the quarter-finals on Sunday.

Horsham went into the game with nothing to lose, as it was the furthest they had ever gone in this competition and didn’t quite know what to expect from their opponents.

They started strong and it soon became clear to visiting Horsham that they could adjust their play to suit the pitch to dominate the game.

Bridgnorth had a number of very strong individuals but Horsham used their strength and depth, and player for player were definitely the stronger side.

The visitors dominated the first half and had a number of chances that were saved, but continued pressure and some great team play as well as individual skill and flair from Lucy Clark, Suzy Clapp and Zephanie Hardy were rewarded with three goals, all scored by Lucy Clark.

In the second half Bridgnorth showed the determination and skill that has got them to this stage in the competition and despite the score line they did not relent and had several strong attacks.

As the game went on tired legs from the hosts played a part and Horsham were able to capitalize on their chances, and some textbook attacking moves led to three more goals - expertly converted by Lynne Jones and Fran Crossley (two).

Having reached the semis Horsham were hoping for a kind semi-final draw, though this was not the case after they were drawn away at Canterbury on Sunday March 23, a tough match where Horsham will continue to make history.
