Juniors excel in seniors' clash

WORTHING Swimming Club's county water polo team won away to Crawley by a six-goal margin in the Sussex County Senior League last week. The final score was Crawley 14, Worthing 20.

It was a highly entertaining match played at the deep-water 50m pool at the K2 Centre.

Even though Worthing was missing a number of its established senior squad, it was still able to pit a full team of 13, including five juniors, against a much-improved opposition that now features a number of new but experienced players.

Worthing had to play some good-quality water polo to control the match and the opposition always offered a threat in attack but Worthing was able to score regularly when counter-attacking.
