New captains for Worthing Golf Club

THE new Club Captain of Worthing Golf Club, Alan Marsh, has been chaired into office.

With the nickname of Swampy, Alan Marsh was dressed as an Australian outback man.

Alan then performed the driving-in ceremony, using a short club then an overlong club standing on a box. The chairing party were David Marsh, Roy Bennett, Paul Newman

John Dunn, Derek Taylor and Roger Benjamin, under the guidance of Professional Stephen Rolley.

In a horse shoe of spring flowers, Angela Nicholls was elected as the Lady Captain of Worthing Golf Club.

Angela also had to perform the driving in ceremony in front of more than 100 lady spectators.
