Now it's re-election

WORTHING Cricket Club must seek Sussex League re-election for the first time after rain flushed away on Saturday their last chance of avoiding the league wooden spoon.

They were unable to force a result before the weather's final say in the hope of getting off the bottom of the table.

Captan David Rogers made his third fifty this season in an 86-minute stay after his side had been asked to bat by Pulborough. The damp wicket and unsettled atmosphere favoured seam bowlers.
