The Sion team won all their matches, beating Rydon School in the final 5-0. The team will now go forward to represent the Southern Area Schools Partnership at the county tournament, to be held this month.

Team captain James Mapley said he was extremely pleased with the team's performance and they were looking forward to the next stage of competition. Their PE teacher, Steve Danes, said: "The boys worked hard in every match.

"All the players gave their best and showed both good attacking and defensive skills. The final match against Rydon was very close, but a late try from Harry Forest gave us the win."

The team were a mix of experienced and players new to the sport.
