Treble and double delight
PULBOROUGH jockey Jim Crowley ended 2008 with a long-distance treble on December 30 followed by a double victory on New Year's Eve to take his tally for the season to 116 winners.
It comfortably beat his 2007 total of 92.
A double at Lingfield on New Year's Eve was sparked off with an outstanding win on board Titan Triumph, trained at Angmering Park by William Knight.
Crowley has ridden this horse to his last three victories and it was Titan Triumph's fourth consecutive success in a one-mile handicap. Titan Triumph, who may now go for a 0-100 handicap later this month, provided Knight with his 23rd win of the season '“ his target had been 20.
