VALUABLE POINTS FOR WICK

FIRST-HALF goals from Steve Poulton and Mark Price gave Wick a welcome three points at Selsey Road on Saturday in their struggle to avoid the drop to Division Two.

It was a victory which Wick boss Richie Reynolds had half-expected with more players becoming available after up to 10 weeks out through injury.

And one of them - Paul Morby - was involved in the penalty which led to Price netting the second nine minutes from the break.

The ball had been cleared out of defence but, while the players were leaving the area, Dave Towers kicked out at Morby and the referee awarded a spot-kick.

Wick had been given the lead by Steve Poulton after 16 minutes when they received some of the luck which has been going the way of other teams earlier in the season.
