West Sussex polo player invited to compete in British Open High Goal Championship

WEST Sussex polo player Jack Kidd has been invited to compete in The British Open High Goal Arena Polo Challenge at the British Open Show Jumping Championships from April 12-15.

Jack , who is based at Hickstead,will join leading arena players Tim Bown, Dean Lines and Howard Smith at the new venue, Birmingham 's NEC, to battle head to head for The British Open High Goal Arena Polo Challenge title against a host of top players

In its third year at the British Open, the Arena Polo competition continues to grow in popularity and remains the only indoor high goal match in the UK .

Jack (33) is a seven goal player and he has already won two golds at European Championships. He has played in the British Open for the last two years.

Jack's father, Johnny Kidd introduced him to polo. Johnny was a professional show jumper and polo player in the 60s with many big wins in both sports - he was also the only person to ever represent England in both sports.
