Dance from the east

THE sound of the Egyptian tabla filled the Shoreham Centre for the fourth Bodies and Beats events began.

Organised by Katie Holland '“ dance enthusiasts from all over Europe were treated to the sights and sounds of internationally acclaimed musician and dancers Hossam and Serena Ramzy.

Other workshops on Saturday, April 21, included yoga fitness with Niina Martin, Bollywood with Kat Zborovjanova, samba/salsa with Marta Scott, African dance with Rosario of Carnival Collective, African drumming with Wukulu, Flamenco with Helena of Duende Flamenco and tribal belly dance with Storm.

Glittering delights were on offer in the way of belly dance and tribal costumes, Indian clothing and jewellery and on-site massage from Glen of Magic Massage.

The next Bodies and Beats event will be held on September 1 and 2.
