Hollyoaks actor visits St Wilfrid's Hospice

TV STAR and former Chichester College student Danny Mac visited St Wilfrid's Hospice to find out about the work that goes on there.

Danny, who is currently playing the character of Dodger Savage in Channel 4’s hit series Hollyoaks, spent an afternoon at the hospice’s open day event.

It opened its doors as part of the Hospice Care Week to give visitors an idea of the process patients go through when they stay there, and what treatments are on offer.

The 23-year-old, who grew up in Pagham and went to Bognor Regis Community College, has an idea of how important the hospice is in the community as his mum is currently a nurse there.

“It’s amazing what my mum does with all of the other nurses, so it’s nice to raise awareness of that,” he said.

“I never got the chance to come here a lot when I was at university – it’s nice to come back and find out more about it.

“I’m here to find out what’s going on and what’s happening so I can let others know what’s going on.”
