Road closures: eight for Arun drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Arun will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Arun will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

A27, from 8pm January 12 to 6am January 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A27 eastbound, Fontwell to Arundel, lane closure for maintenance works.

A27, from 8pm January 8 to 6am March 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A27 both directions Ford road roundabout to Fontwell West roundabout, carriageway closure for surface works.

And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A27, from 8pm January 15 to 6am January 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A27 westbound, The Causeway to Ford road roundabout, traffic signals for electrical works.

A27, from 8pm January 16 to 6am January 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A27 westbound, Poling to Crossbush, lane closure for maintenance works.

A27, from 8pm January 17 to 6am January 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A27 westbound, Clapham to Poling, lane closure for survey works.

A27, from 8pm January 17 to 6am January 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A27 westbound, Tangmere to Fontwell, Lane closure for maintenance works.

A27, from 8pm January 23 to 6am January 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A27 westbound, Arundel Road, Lane closure for BT works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
