Who'd have thought Kylie would be a fan of 19th century realism?

Kylie Minogue is one of the world's biggest pop stars

But the Princess of Pop proved she was just that as she joined theatregoers at Chichester Festival Theatre for the closing night of An Enemy of the People.

Kylie swapped her signature hotpants for a golden dress and trenchcoat for her trip to the theatre, and kept a low profile as she sat in the crowd.

Reports suggest the Spinning Around songstress was there to support leading man Hugh Bonneville, who has received warm reviews for his performance.

The Australian popstar, who has sold more than 80 million records, joins the ranks of famous faces who have visited or performed at the theatre including Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Laurence Olivier.

Last year Patricia Hodge was spotted among the audience at the Festival Theatre, and is currently treading the boards of the Minerva in Travels with my Aunt.

So could a juke-box musical of Kylie’s hits be on the cards next year? Hopefully producers will set the wheels in Locomotion.
