Three fire crews were mobilised after a call out to the hospital at 2.25pm, a spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue said.

On arrival, the first crew told the other two to stand down, with the fire out and crews gone by 3pm, the spokesman added.

No one was hurt and everyone is being allowed back inside the building.
